Acceptable use

Your Flight Help samples are planning documents. Here’s what that means in practice.

The one rule

Never present a Your Flight Help sample as a reservation, ticket, booking confirmation or proof that you hold a seat.

You may use samples to

  • plan and compare routes, dates and time differences;
  • share a proposed trip with people who understand it’s a proposal;
  • work out consistent dates before you make a real booking or reservation;
  • illustrate itineraries in teaching, design or training material.

You must not

  • submit a sample to a consulate, visa centre, airline, border authority or employer as evidence of a booking;
  • edit, crop or reproduce a sample to remove or hide its watermark, banner or stamp;
  • add booking references, PNRs, ticket numbers, barcodes or airline branding to a sample;
  • enter flight details you know to be false in order to make a sample look like a real booking;
  • use the site to help anyone else do any of the above.

Why it matters

Presenting a document as a booking when it isn’t one is a false statement. Depending on the country, it can lead to a visa refusal, a ban on future applications, or prosecution. If an official process asks for a flight reservation, provide a real one. See legitimate options.

Reporting misuse

If you see Your Flight Help samples being sold or presented as bookings, please let us know.
